Urge China to stop Yulin’s dog and cat meat cruelty
On June 21st, the dog and cat meat trade intensifies in China’s city of Yulin, with thousands of people expected to gather at restaurants and markets across the city to eat dog and cat meat dishes. Not only is the brutality of this cruel trade inconsistent with Chinese animal protection culture, with stolen pets suffering terrible abuse, but allowing the Yulin event to go ahead also runs contrary to China’s public health and safety precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stopping the killing of dogs and cats in Yulin once and for all would protect people and animals.
Please urge China to end the animal welfare and public health nightmare of Yulin’s dog and cat meat trade.
