Urge your MP to support the Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act
Canada is half-way to becoming a cruelty-free cosmetics market.
The Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act would make it illegal to test cosmetics products or ingredients on animals here in Canada, and also ban the sale of beauty products that have been newly tested on animals anywhere in the world. It follows the example already set by 37 countries, including the European Union, Israel, India, Taiwan and New Zealand.
Now that the Bill finally in the House of Commons, it must pass within a short three-month period to become law. Time is running out. We need to get this legislation through the House of Commons before Parliament breaks for the summer.
