Tell the Botswana government to bring back the ban on trophy hunting
In 2014, Botswana made a historic move by banning trophy hunting. Just recently, the government of Botswana announced that it will reopen trophy hunting and even allow the hunting of up to 400 elephants. Elephant poaching is on the rise in Botswana, but now the animals have another target on their back, put there by the government to benefit trophy hunters.
Trophy hunting does not solve human-wildlife conflict and might even exacerbate the conflict. Co-existence with wildlife is the only humane and sustainble way that both the communities and wild animals can thrive.
Tell the Botswana government not to rescind its trophy hunting decision.
