Urge the government to introduce a bill to ban cosmetic animal testing
In 2019, Bill S-214, The Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act, died on the order paper, which sadly means that cosmetic animal testing is still legal in Canada. The Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act would have made it illegal to test cosmetics products or ingredients on animals here in Canada, and also ban the sale of beauty products that have been newly tested on animals anywhere in the world, following the example already set by 40 countries, including the European Union, Australia, Colombia, Guatemala, Israel, India, Taiwan and New Zealand.
We need your help to urge the Canadian government to make this a priority issue and to urgently introduce a new bill to ban cosmetic animal testing and trade.
