Urge Southeast Asian countries to ban cosmetic testing on animals!

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Indonesia, Singapore, Laos, Brunei, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Viet Nam) is one of the world’s largest markets for cosmetics and a region where animal testing for cosmetics still occurs.

We need your help to urge the governments of these countries to make this a priority issue and to agree on measures to ban cosmetic animal testing and trade throughout the region.

I support a ban on cosmetic testing in Southeast Asia. It’s possible to produce cruelty-free cosmetics using existing safe ingredients and state-of-the-art non-animal approaches to safety assessments that are more relevant to humans. The UK, EU, Canada, Mexico, Israel, India, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Australia, Colombia, Guatemala, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Brazil and eleven U.S. states have already passed laws to ban or limit cosmetic animal testing or sales. It’s time for Southeast Asia, one of the largest cosmetic markets in the world, to be cruelty-free.
